Constructed of dark grey wool with fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front, the peak of the cap features a second-pattern, Luftwaffe-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, constructed of machine-embroidered silver thread on a dark grey wool backer, stitched underneath the eagle is a Luftwaffe-style tri-colour cockade, constructed of machine-embroidered thread on dark grey wool backer,the interior features a complete dark-grey wool twill lining stamped with size 57 in black ink, the cap is unmarked, measures 28.5 cm (l) x 10.5 cm (h), and presents in a near extremely fine condition.
