Item #G40499
Certificate measuring 96 mm x 129 mm, very fine condition with light fraying and minor water damage at the top. Booklet measuring 105x133mm, better than fine condition with light scuffing and some soiling of the cover, and some warping and soiling due to moisture of the book’s body. The recipient is Heinrich Sührig. Sadly, the photo is compromised and his face is largely unrecognizable. The booklet contains membership fee stamps from 1936 to early 1944. The gap between summer of 1939 and the end of 1940 is explained in a note, stating that due to Sührig’s army service no fees have to be paid.
Footnote: Heinrich Sührig was born on February 19, 1899 in Sibbesse (Lower Saxony). He worked as a Stellmachermeister (wheelwright) and joined the NSDAP on May 28, 1926, member number 37,362. However, by 1936, to which the NSDAP membership booklet is dated, Sührig can be seen wearing an army uniform. As has already been mentioned, he served again between 1939 and late 1940.
