Germany, Imperial. A Lot of Commemorative Medals

(Gedenkmedaillen). A grouping of four medals, including a Red Cross Medal, II Class, constructed of a round, silver medal, the obverse presents a Geneva cross in red enamel, with Prussian royal crowns at the ends of the cross arms, with the initials W and R between the top cross arms and A V between the bottom cross arms, the reverse presents the inscription FUER VERDIENSTE UM DAS ROTHE KREUZ (FOR MERIT IN THE RED CROSS), with a curved oak branch to the left, measuring 33.51 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in extremely fine condition. A War Commemorative Medal of 1870/71, constructed of bronze, the obverse shows the crowned royal cypher of Wilhelm I over the inscription Dem siegreichen Heere (To the victorious army), inscribed around the edge is Gott war mit uns, Ihm sei die Ehre (God was with us, to Him be the Glory), the reverse shows an Iron Cross with rays extending from between the arms, at the centre of the cross is a laurel wreath and the dates 1870 1871, on the outer edge of the coin is the inscription AUS EROBERTEM GESCHUETZT (FROM CONQUERED CANNON), measuring 29.08 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near very fine condition. A First War Period For the Fatherland Commemorative Medal, in bronze, the obverse depicting a triumphant soldier being crowned by a Goddess, the reverse depicting an Iron Cross 1914, circumscribed by Fürs Vaterland, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, measuring 32.45 mm in diameter, and in overall very fine condition. A 1914/1918 Kyffhäuser Commemorative Medal with Swords, in gilt bronze, the obverse inscribed BLANK DIE WEHR, REIN DIE EHR (TO ARMS WITH AN HONOUR INTACT), the reverse dedicates this award to the fighters of the first war, maker marked HOSAEUS, measuring 30.94 mm (w) x 46.97 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near extremely fine condition.
