Laos, Democratic Republic. A Medal for Resistance Against the Americans 1955-1973

Lian-ga dtaw-dtahn jak-gah-pahd america 1955-1973. Instituted in 1974. In gilt aluminum with red and light blue enamels, reported to be Chinese-made, measuring 44.7 mm (w) x 47 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, suspended from a hanger in gilt aluminum with red and dark blue enamels with pinback, the hanger inscribed with the dates "1955-1973", intact enamels, extremely fine.

Footnote: The Medal for Resistance Against the Americans was instituted in 1974 in a single class, for participants in the war of 1955-1973 against the Americans.
