Constructed of silver and brass, consisting of a cross pattée with a ribbed silver frame and a blackened brass core, the obverse with three central raised oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a raised reinstitution date of 1939, the reverse with an initial institution date of 1813 on the six o’clock arm, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop bearing a hanger, accompanied by its period original neck ribbon, the hanger with a silver purity mark of 800, measuring 48.36 mm (w) x48.49 mm (h), weighing 28.9 grams, also accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted and depressed black felt medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release, functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 80 mm (w) x 145 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
