Romania, Kingdom. A Pilot’s Badge Case with Miniature, by Joseph Resch

A presentation case for a Romanian Pilot’s Badge, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the obverse lid with a gilt monogram of King Ferdinand I, the interior with a white satin-type lid liner with a maker’s mark of “JOSEPH RESCH, BUCAREST” and a Romanian royal coat of arms, with a grey cotton medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, measuring 57 mm (w) x 112 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), accompanied by a miniature decoration, constructed of silvered bronze, with two reverse attachment prongs intact, measuring 9 mm (w) x 12 mm (h), some material fatigue evident to the case, in very fine condition.
