A SS-Totenkopfverbände (Death Head Units) service tunic constructed of field-grey wool, presenting single-breasted with two pleated patch breast pockets and two hidden hip pockets, all with scalloped button down flaps, displaying a total of ten silvered metal buttons, four arranged down the front of the tunic, meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes, with one to each pocket and one to each shoulder, maker marked with initials A&S on reverse, the collar is constructed of field-grey wool, bordered by silver aluminum tresse, flanked on each side by collar tabs each constructed of a black wool base, the left-hand side presents a collar tab bearing a single silvered rank pips (indicating the rank of SS-Scharführer), the right-hand side presents a collar tab bearing a skull and crossbones in white thread, each collar tab measures approximately 37 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), the interior of the collar bears a single magnetic metal hook meeting a metal loop on the opposite side, facilitating a flush fit with the wearer’s neck, each shoulder displays a shoulder strap constructed of a black wool base, with pointed ends, bordered by silver aluminum tresse, attached by silver metal buttons, each measuring 45 mm (w) x 117 mm (h), the left upper arm bears a machine-woven SS-style eagle in silvery rayon threads, over a black rayon backing, measuring 85 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), the reverse presents a vertical skirt slit measuring 14.5 cm, with stitched eyelets at the waistline for the belt support hooks, the interior is partially lined with light-brown cotton, presents a field dressing pocket with a single button closure at the forward right side, stamped with the number 50 on the interior of the left breast along with the stitched label stating VA 7 /38 in white embroidery as well as the SS runes, the tunic measures 42 cm across the shoulders, 62 cm in the sleeve, and 78.5 cm in total length, and is in extremely fine condition, accompanied by a Waffen-SS overseas side cap, constructed of field-grey wool, the interior lined with grey cotton wool, stamped GEORG TEUFEL SOHN, TUTTLINGEN, 56, 541, measuring , when folded, 28 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
