(Schirmmütze und Waffenrock). A well-preserved visor cap, constructed of smooth Police-green wool with a dark brown wool cap band, the cap features three bands of gilded bullion wire Waffenfarbe piping at the top, middle, and bottom, pinned into the peak is a silvered and blackened aluminum cockade with red felt centre, measuring approximately 22 mm in diameter, the cap band features an Ordnungspolizei- (Order Police) style insignia badge, constructed of gilded aluminum, depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath, measuring 55 mm (w) x 47 mm (h), the cap is flanked by two gilded, pebbled, non-magnetic buttons, holding in place a braided gilded aluminum bullion wire chinstrap, itself ornately knotted on both ends and resting upon the visor, the visor is constructed of lacquered vulcanfibre, with a black exterior and tan interior, the cap features a tan-coloured leather sweatband covering the circumference of the interior, securely held in place by machine stitching, embossed with the maker’s mark Stirndruckfrei, presenting a complete interior liner, constructed of light-brown rayon, bears a central, transparent, rhomboid moisture guard, onto which is stamped a maker’s mark of SONDERKLASSE, STIRNDRUCKFREI, D.R.G.M., GES. GESCH., the cap measures approximately 245 mm (w) x 270 mm (l) x 162 mm (h), there is one small sign of mothing to exterior, as well as some age-appropriate wear to the sweatband, but the cap is in an otherwise extremely fine condition.

This rare tunic is fabricated from Police-green wool exterior, the breasts of the jacket close by six reinforced button holes meeting an equal number of pebbled, gilded metallic buttons, stamped on the reverse with EXTRA FEIN, the tunic bears two pleated breast pockets and two pleated hip pockets, each with reinforced buttonholes meeting a pebbled, gilded zink buttons, the collar, constructed of dark-green wool, the interior right collar has two magnetic metal hooks meeting an equal number of magnetic metal eyelets on the left allowing the collar to sit flush with the neck, the collar is flanked by tabs composed of light-green-coloured wool base, bearing Arabesque designs in gold wire, each measuring 44 mm (w) x 93 mm (l), shoulder boards rest on each shoulder, constructed of three interwoven cords with the inner cord of aluminum soutache while each flanking cord was braided gold cord, making four bends around a button loop, underlaid with light green wool, measuring 44 mm (w) x 100 mm (l), the left upper arm bears a sleeve insignia in the form of a police-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, executed in hand-embroidered gold-coloured wire with a black swastika surrounded by a golden-coloured wire, all sewn onto a field-grey backing, measuring 80 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), below the left breast pocket is a set of SS Police runes, constructed of silver aluminum bullion embroidery, on a field-grey wool backer, measuring 35 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), suspended from the right shoulder is a full-size officer’s aiguillette constructed of golden wire, the reverse of the tunic presents a central vertical tail skirt vent measuring 165 mm, the interior of the tunic is lined with grey-green rayon, with striped off-white rayon-blended material lining the interior of the sleeves, the interior of the tunic contains a pocket on the upper left breast that presents a blank label for Hans Klee, Kassel, with space for owner information, the interior of the collar presents the maker label for Hans Klee, Kassel, Bahnhofstr. 16, across the shoulders measures approximately 40 cm, with a length of 63 cm in the sleeves, with an overall length of 72.5 cm, presenting very minimal mothing and soiling, in overall extremely fine condition.

Accompanied by matching trousers, constructed of Police-green wool, with a vertical deep lined pocket on either side of the frontal opening, the opening itself is decorated by four black bakelite buttons, all which are met on the opposing side by reinforced button holes, the interior of the these pants has six large bakelite buttons for the attachment of suspenders, with a cream-coloured rayon blended liner along the waste-band, but with otherwise no other lining, piped down each seam with light-green wool, the trousers measure 35 cm across the waist, 135 cm in the outseam, 73 cm in the inseam, and in extremely fine condition.
