Prussia, Kingdom. An 1891 Commemorative Medal for the Battles in Schleswig-Holstein 1848-1849

(Erinnerungsmedaille für die Kämpfe 1848/49 in Schleswig-Holstein). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II inside of a laurel wreath, the reverse with an inscription of “SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN 1848-1849”, unmarked, measuring 33.25 mm in diameter, weighing 15.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
