Bavaria, Kingdom. A Jubilee Medal for the Army

(Jubiläumsmedaille für die Armee). Constructed of bronze, on a crown suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold circumscribed by name and title, the suspension with a ribbon bearing dates “1821-1911”, the reverse with an inscription of “AM 70 JAHRESTAG MEINES DIENSTANTRITTES DER BAYER ARMEE GEWIDMET XII.III.MCMV” (“ON THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF MY ENTRANCE INTO THE SERVICE OF THE BAVARIAN ARMY”), unmarked, measuring 32.35 mm (w) x 63.03 mm (h), weighing 27.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
