Württemberg, Kingdom. A Commemorative Medal for the Campaigns of 1793-1815, ca. 1840

(Kriegsdenkmünze für Treuen Dienst in einem Feldzug). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period correct replacement ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Wilhelm I within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a gorget-style shield bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUEN DIENST IN EINEM FELDZUG” (“FOR LOYAL SERVICE IN A CAMPAIGN”) in Fraktur script, unmarked, measuring 29.61 mm in diameter, weighing 15.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
