A group of three Third Reich period badges, including an Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a barrel hinge, maker marked “CW” for Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 46.50 mm (w) x 62.44mm (h), weighing 24.5 grams, missing its catch and half of the pinback, otherwise in very fine condition.
A Wound Badge in Silver, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.57 mm (w) x 44.15 mm (h), weighing 32.8 grams, some of the finish has been lost and the obverse swastika has been ground out, otherwise in very fine condition.
A DRL Sports Badge in Bronze, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath tied at the bottom with a bowtie ribbon, with central stylized initials of “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire cach, maker marked “WERNSTEIN, JENA”, measuring 38.33 mm (w) x 48.40 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
