(Kappenabzeichen). A vertical oval badge in silvered metal, the obverse presents an embossed portraits of Franz Joseph, below is a leaf semi-wreath bearing the Roman numeral I, above the inscription ARMEE at the base, to the left and right sides are the inscriptions WEIHNACHTEN IM FELDE 1914, maker marked under bust with G. GURSCHNER, reverse presents a vertical pinback, measuring 26.15 mm (w) x 40.12 mm (h), and in very fine condition. A 1. Armee cap badge, on vertical pinback, measuring 32.03 mm (w) x 49.98 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
