Germany, Wehrmacht. A Spanish Blue Division Medal

(Erinnerungsmedaille für die spanischen Freiwilligen im Kampf gegen den Bolschewismus). Constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with central shields bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika and a Falange insignia, with a swastika at the bottom and topped by a Stahlhelm, the reverse with an inscription of “DIVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE VOLUNTARIOS EN RUSIA” (“DIVISION OF SPANISH VOLUNTEERS IN RUSSIA”), unmarked, measuring 32.46 mm in diameter, weighing 11.7 grams, in very fine condition.
