Oldenburg, Free State. A Fire Service Merit Medal

(Verdienstmedaille für Feuerlöschwesen). A circular medal in gilded bronze, the obverse centre presenting the coat of arms, the reverse centre presenting the inscription FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DER FEUERLÖSCHWESEN, surrounded by an open ended wreath of oak leaves, measuring 30.42 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in extremely fine condition.
