The two award documents are for the Iron Cross 2nd Class (139x199mm) and the Eastern Front Medal, (139x200mm), both in near very fine condition with light scuffing and creasing, minor discolouration, and one folding crease.
The Iron Cross 2nd Class award document is named to Obergefreiter (Corporal) Groven on the Staff Company of Jäger Regiment 28. It is dated to December 15, 1942 and signed in blue ink by the leader of the 8th Jäger Division, Generalmajor Friedrich Jobst Volckamer von Kirchensittenbach (1894–1989), a recipient of the Knight’s Cross.
The Eastern Front Medal is named to Obergefreiter Johann Groven on the same unit as stated above. He was awarded the decoration on August 17, 1942. The document is dated to August 6, 1943 and is signed in blue ink by the company leader, an Oberleutnant, the name is illegible.
