A rare silver plate commissioned for the wedding of Hermann Göring and his second wife Emmy (Emma) Sonnemann, constructed of silver, the obverse with a stylized ribbed border, with raised coats of arms of the Göring and Sonnemann families, the reverse with a maker’s mark of “GROSSE & SOHN”, a crescent moon and crown indicating German manufacture, a silver content mark of “835”, the hallmark of silversmith Wilhelm T. Binder, and the city of “BERLIN”, measuring 280 mm in diameter, age-appropriate tarnishing evident, otherwise in extremely fine condition.
