A circular silver medal, the obverse with an inscription KRIEGSVERDIENST (MILITARY MERIT) within a laurel wreath, the reverse with the crowned monogram of Wilhelm Rex, unmarked, measuring 39.43 mm in diameter, weighing 22.5 grams, on loop for suspension from its period replacement ribbon, and in very fine condition, accompanied by a period original case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a padded black satin-type lid liner, with a depressed black velvet medal bed, opening with a functional bronze spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 69 mm (w) x 51 mm (l) x 17 mm (h), in near very fine condition.
