Württemberg, Kingdom. A Medal for Faithful Service in the Campaign of 1866

(Kriegsdenkmünze für treue Dienste in einem Feldzuge 1866). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Karl I inside of a laurel wreath, the reverse with a gorget-style shield bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUEN DIENST IN EINEM FELDZUG” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE CAMPAIGN”), unmarked, measuring 29.82 mm in diameter, weighing 13.7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
