Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of oval shaped silvered tombac, the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom, maker marked on reverse J.R.G.M., the reverse plain with functional hinge/catch assembly, measuring 39.31 mm (w) x 42.09 mm (h), weighing 8.9 grams, and very fine condition.
