(Prinzregent Luitpold-Medaille in Silber mit Krone). Instituted in 1911. Bronze Grade 1911-1912. In bronze, measuring 33 mm (w) x 64 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, original ribbon, extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The medal was instituted on February 24, 1911 by Prince Regent Luitpold on the occasion of his ninetieth birthday, as a higher award of merit and commemoration than that instituted on June 30, 1905 without crown and was given with a certificate intended to remain with the descendants of the recipients as a reminder of the accolade. The medal ceased to be awarded after the death of Prince Regent Luitpold on December 12, 1912.
