Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central German national eagle, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR”, the edge with a silver content mark of “800”, measuring 24.38 mm in diameter, weighing 10.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a blue and silver ribbed exterior, the interior with a padded white satin-type lid liner and slotted red velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal snap button and functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 67 mm (w) x 93 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
