Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Duchy. A Merit Medal, Gold Grade, by Godet

(Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1 October 1904. A circular medal in gilded silver, the obverse centre presenting the left-facing portrait of Duke Adolf Friedrich VI, circumscribed by the inscription ADOLF FRIEDRICH VI GROSSHERZOG VON MECKLENBURG STRELITZ, the reverse centre presents the inscription FÜR VERDIENST surrounded by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, maker marked on rim with GODET BERLIN, measuring 30.17 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in very fine condition.
