Prussia, State. An Order of the Red Eagle in Gold, Miniature, c.1900

(Preußische Rote Adlerorden). Instituted on 12 June 1792. A miniature Order of the Red Eagle, constructed of gilded bronze, a cross pattée with four arms in white enamels, the obverse with a circular enamelled medallion depicting a hand-painted Brandenburg crowned eagle, the reverse with the crowned cipher of King Friedrich Wilhelm, measuring 17.64 mm (w) x 19.92 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.
