The cap top, cap band and visor are constructed of khaki-brown cotton with the band being semi-stiff to give the cap shape, each side of the cap top presents two eyelets for ventilation, the cap includes a neck flap attached to the cap by three metal buttons at the rear base of the cap band, a soft thin, black leather chinstrap rests on the visor, attached to the cap by two buttons, the insignia consists of a machine-woven Luftwaffe-style eagle, measuring 69 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), and a standard machine-embroidered wreathed cockade, measuring 144 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), the interior presents red cotton lining, marked with the manufacturer’s number 0/0250/2570 and the size 57½, the cap measures approximately 23.5 cm (w) x 26 cm (l) x 11 cm (h), presenting moderate soiling throughout the exterior, in otherwise near extremely fine condition.
