Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.29 mm (w) x 43.00 mm (h), weighing 6.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
