Germany, Federal Republic. A Special Grade Tank Badge for 25 Engagements, 1957 Version

(Panzerkampfabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl 50). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a raised plaque bearing a number “25”, with a central Panzerkampfwagen IV with treads extending over the edge of the wreath, the reverse with two visible rivets holding the obverse tank in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 46.50 mm (w) x 55.16 mm (h), weighing 32.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
