Germany, Federal Republic. A Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp for Air-to-Ground Support Fighters with “2000” Hanger, 1957 Version

(Frontflugspange für Schlachtflieger mit Anhänger). Constructed of gilded and blackened bronze, consisting of a pair of crossed swords inside of a laurel wreath, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, with a hanger bearing a number of “2000” in glass jewels, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 75.37 mm (w) x 25.64 mm (h), weighing 17.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
