A group of three Wehrmacht medals, including a War Merit Cross, I Class with Swords, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central wreathed date of “1939”, with crossed swords piercing the centre of the cross, unmarked, measuring 48.51 mm (w) x 50.31 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams, in very fine condition.
An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central Heer-style eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 35.94 mm (w) x 44.05 mm (h), weighing 18.4 grams, in very fine condition.
A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, the obverse with a pillbox topped by a crossed shovel and sword and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE DEFENCE OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 32.78 mm (w) x 45.79 mm (h), weighing 17.0 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
