In bronze, Belgian-made, engraver marked "VL.E" on the obverse, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, original ribbon with dual-prong pinback, extremely fine.

Footnote: The medal would have been current between the date of independence from Belgium (July 1, 1962) and the deposition of the king by his son in 1966.
