A pair of Imperial merit medals, including a Saxon Friedrich August Medal, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich August III within a laurel wreath, the reverse with an inscription of “FRIEDRICH AUGUST MEDAILLE” surrounded by oak leaves, unmarked, measuring 28.55 mm in diameter, weighing 13.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Baden Merit Medal, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Friedrich II, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”) inside of an oak wreath, measuring 38.43 mm in diameter, weighing 18.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
