Constructed of silver, the obverse with a central rightward-facing bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II, circumscribed by name and an inscription of “PALÄSTINA-REISE-GEDENKTHALER” (“PALESTINE JOURNEY COMMEMORATION”), the reverse with a central depiction of Christ, circumscribed by inscriptions of “ZUR EINWEIHUNG DER EVANG. ERLÖSERSKIRCHE IN JERUSALEM” (“TO INITIATE THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER IN JERUSALEM”) and “ENDE OKTOBER 1898” (“THE END OF OCTOBER 1898”), unmarked, measuring 35 mm in diameter, weighing 14.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
