Germany, Third Reich. A 1944 Tirol Small Calibre Shooting Badge by Carl Poellath

Constructed of zink, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a red Tirol-style eagle clutching a target overlaid by a swastika, flanked by a date of “1944”, above an inscription of “KK-GEWEHR” for “KLEINKALIBER-GEWEHR” (“SMALL CALIBRE RIFLE”), the reverse maker marked “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 40.21 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
