Germany, Third Reich. A Cased Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Medal, by Wächtler & Lange

(Treudienst Ehrenzeichen für 25 Jahre Dienst). Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central black swastika, the reverse with a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR LOYAL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.88 mm (w) x 45.79 mm (h), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux red leather exterior, the obverse lid with a gold embossed number of “25” within a cog wheel, the interior with a mauve felt lid liner bearing a maker’s label of “WÄCHTLER & LANGE, MITTWEIDA”, with a slotted mauve felt medal bed, measuring 48 mm (w) x 102 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
