Italy, Kingdom. A Fascist Italian Air Force Arm Shield

Constructed of painted and silvered bronze, the obverse with a raised female figure overlaid by a red lightning bolt, topped by an inscription of “101 GRUPPO AUTONOMO CACCIA T” and “SAETTO NEL CIELO CON LA PASSIONE NEL CUORE” (“FLASHES THROUGH THE SKY WITH PASSION IN HIS HEART”, alongside a fasces, the reverse plain, with five holes for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
