Germany, Third Reich. A Civil Service 50-Year Faithful Service Cross

(Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen Sonderstufe für 50 Jahre). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central black swastika, the twelve o’clock arm with a raised number “50”, the reverse with a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE ARBEIT” (“FOR FAITHFUL WORK”), unmarked, measuring 41.38 mm (w) x 46.03 mm (h), weighing 22.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
