A badge constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse with a border of oak leaves with a tie at the base and a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with the logo of maker Adolf Schwerdt, Stuttgart, measuring 43.08 mm (w) x 62.58 mm (h), weighing 26.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
