Bavaria, Kingdom. A Bavarian Armee Jubilee Medal

(Jubiläumsmedaille für die bayerische Armee). Instituted on 12 March 1905. An oval bronze medal, the obverse centre featuring a left-facing portrait of Luitpold, surrounded by the inscription LVITPOLD PRINZ REGENT VON BAYERN, the reverse centre presents the inscription AM 70 JAHRESTAG MEINES DIENST ANTRITTES DER BAYER ARMEE GEWIDMET XII.III.MCMV, measuring 31.94 mm (w) x 38.38 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in near very fine condition.
