Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A 1931 Stahlhelm Membership Badge

(Der Stahlhelm Diensteintrittsabzeichen mit Jahreszahl 1931). Constructed of silver with enamels, the obverse depicting a raised helmet with an inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” alongside an Iron Cross, on a black enameled disk bearing silver oak leaves and a date of “1931”, the reverse with a crimped hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked with a silver content number of “935” and the logo of maker Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30.64 mm in diameter, weighing 12.4 grams, some chipping of the enamel evident, in better than very fine condition.
