Prussia, Kingdom. An 1861 Kaiser Wilhelm I Coronation Brooch, by S. Friedeberg Söhne

Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of a stylized belt bearing a raised inscription of “22 OCTOBER 1861”, with central monograms of Kaiser Wilhelm I and Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, topped by a royal crown, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but exclusively manufactured by S. Friedberg Söhne, Berlin, measuring 34.60 mm (w) x 46.17 mm (h), weighing 15.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
