Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion, bearing a raised hand-painted eagle clutching a green enameled laurel crown, within a ribbed silver ring, in turn surrounded by a white enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “SINCERE ET CONSTANTER” (“SINCERE AND PERSISTENT”) and a hand-painted laurel branches, within a final ring of ribbed silver, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, with two vertical stabilizers, unmarked, measuring 80.24 mm (w) x 79.18 mm (h), weighing 52.2, there is evidence of enamel repair with a crack to the outer ring, in addition to repair of the catch and the right stabilizer, the latter has been broken in half, in overall better than very fine condition.
