Württemberg, Kingdom. A Honour Cross, I Class, for 25 Years of Service

(Dienst-Ehrenzeichen I. Klasse für 25 Jahre). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central monogram of Wilhelm II of Württemberg, inside of a green enameled laurel wreath, the reverse with central crossed swords circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 33.91 mm (w) x 37.90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
