Germany, Wehrmacht. An Eastern People’s Medal, II Class in Silver with Swords

(Ostvolkmedaille, II. Klasse in Silber mit Schwertern). Constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, with a central sunwheel-style floral design within a laurel wreath, pierced with cross swords, unmarked, measuring 40.42 mm (w) x 46.02 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
