Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade, by Carl Wild

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked with code “107” for maker Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 36.77 mm (w) x 44.32 mm (h), weighing 26.7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
