In red and white embroidery, illustrating the City of Warsaw coat-of-arms, which incorporates a mermaid bearing a shield in her right hand a circular shield in her left hand, within a traditional shield-shaped frame, white cotton mesh backer, measuring 38 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), paper and glue residue evident on the reverse from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Polish 2nd Army Corps was established in 1944, with this badge being worn on the battledress.
