Belgium, Kingdom. An Order of Leopold I, Miniature, in Gold

(Ordre de Léopold, Leopoldsorde). Instituted in 1832. In 18K Gold with red, white, black and green enamels, measuring 11.7 mm (w) x 21 mm (h), scattered chipping evident in the green enamels on the wreath on the obverse, original ribbon, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Order of Leopold I was instituted on July 11, 1832 and awarded for exemplary bravery in war and especially distinguished service to the Belgian state, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight, in Civil, Military and Maritime Divisions.
