Russia, Imperial. A 1897 Studio Photo of Imperial Army Personnel

A studio photo depicting two Grenadiers, in uniform, with one individual standing and the other seated, both wearing unidentified medals, with a photographer’s mark of “ И. ДАНИЛОВ” (“I. DANILOV”), and a location of “МОСКВА” (“MOSCOW”), with a handwritten inscription identifying the subjects as “ТРОФИМ ЛЕВУН” (“TROFIM LEVIN”) and “ИЛЬЯ ХРОМЫХ” (“ILYA KHROMIKH”) with a date of “1897”, the reverse with identical inscriptions and marks, set on a card stock backer, measuring 107 mm (w) x 161 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
