Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central depiction of St. George slaying a dragon, circumscribed by an inscription “ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DEN 8 DEZEMBER 1889”, measuring 39.05 mm in diameter, weighing 31.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
