Baden, Grand Duchy. A 20-Year Long Service Cross for Sisters of the Baden Women’s League to Elisabeth Bauer, ca. 1933

(Dienstauszeichnung für Schwestern des Badischen Frauenvereins für 20 Dienstjahre). Instituted 1872 by Grand Duchess Luise. (1872-1937 issue). Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Ruppert Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms, with a central raised number “20” in Roman numerals, the reverse with an engraved recipient’s name of “ELISABETH BAUER”, the six o’clock arm with a silver content number of “800”, the twelve o’clock arm with an engraved date of “1933”, measuring 40.90 mm (w) x 48.35 mm (h), weighing 11.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
