Germany, Weimar Republic. A Large Merit Medal for Distinguished Horse Breeding and Testing

Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a round oak leaf wreathed, joined at the bottom by a stylized buckle around a letter “R”, with a central horse and foal, the reverse with a round laurel wreath, around an inscription of “REICHSVERBAND FÜR ZUCHT UND PRÜFUNG DEUTSCHEN WARMBLUTS FÜR HERVORRAGENDE LEISTUNGEN” (“REICH ASSOCIATION FOR HORSE BREEDING AND TESTING - FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICES”), unmarked, measuring 98 mm (w) x 104 m (h), in extremely fine condition.
